Description
I built this Sky Tower while in MIQ at Rydges Rotorua. It is made out of meal packaging and cardboard from numerous care packages I received from friends and family (thanks!). It stands at 2.3m tall and is super sturdy.
Used in its construction (not an exhaustive list): 1 paper coffee cup 1 basil pesto pottle (thanks Aunty Judy) 1 glue stick 1 black ribbon (from care package from Newshub - thanks team) 1 sheet black tissue paper (same as above) 2 rolls of sellotape 2 cardboard salad boxes 3 toilet rolls 3 Feijoa kombucha lids 3 bottles of PVA glue 4 large plastic pottles (baked beans came in these) 4 rolls of double-sided tape 5 Coke (no sugar) bottle lids 5 medium plastic pottles (yoghurt came in these) 6 cardboard boxes of various sizes (thanks friends and family) 6 paper bags (used to wrap the bade support struts) 7 paper pottles (once contained butter chicken, seafood chowder, rice, Thai curry) 21 plastic knives (these make up the ring around the main tower section, as well as the telecommunication detailing on the spire) 22 forks (same as above) 23 cardboard meal lids (white side used to clad the tower cylinder, and the shiny side for the windows).
I’m donating the money to Blind Low Vision NZ, a charity that supports those with sight loss.
No idea how I’ll ship this item but I’ll make something work!!!
Happy bidding,
Lloyd.
