Thank you so much for taking the time to look at our Art Fundraiser. Heres a little about what we are trying to fundraise for: Abbeyfield Western Bay of Plenty Inc was established to provide housing for over 65-year-olds for people who have limited financial means. An Abbeyfield House provides affordable, respectful community living for independent older folk in a supportive, safe, thriving, and caring environment. Abbeyfield WBoP plans to build a house in Katikati for 14 residents over 65. It will be a large family –style home with each resident having their own private studio with ensuite. A housekeeper will provide two hot meals a day, the only paid staff member with volunteers who will undertake other day-to-day tasks. This ensures that residents' rent will be well within their superannuation. The rent includes accommodation, power, Wi-Fi, all food, and a sinking fund for maintenance. There is no license to occupy, or capital contribution required. We have recently purchased a section and are raising the rest of the money to pay off the section and build an Abbeyfield House.
We would like to thank the following artists, public figures and communities for supporting us in our fundraiser with their beautiful art donations so far. Bob Drake, Everdian de Graaf-Wuestenenk, Prime Minister Jacinda Adern, Val Helm, Jan Sunderland, Ronel Moore, Nelsey Jordan, the Katikati and Omokoroa community art groups and anonymous art donations of all sorts form anywhere.
Save us as a favourite as we will continue to list donations as they come in. Stay safe and warm this winter and if know anyone or yourself that would like to donate any art to support our cause please don’t hesitate to contact us. Follow us on Facebook search for @AbbeyfieldWBoP for alerts on events and acknowledgements.
