Purchased by my grandmother, who carried a torch for social justice throughout her life, in 1949. Cost was 5 shillings, a major purchase in 1949. Printed in the City of Oxford by the Alden Press for the NZ readership and sold through Whitcombe and Tombs; now Whitcouls. This hardcover book is in very good condition; sturdily constructed and the book itself perfect, but the dust jacket is showing its near 75 years.
