The raised platform design utilises extra ground space, provides chickens with outside cover and aids access for cleaning. It also adds security against rodents. Definitely cat and rat proof!

The large lockable entry door allows easy human access for cleaning and catching chooks. The floor is covered with linoleum for ease of cleaning, hygiene and durability of the coop. The coop will include an automatic door that will be fitted on your requested wall to suit your layout. (see photos)

The nesting boxes are roomy but dark and secure for the hens. The access door to the nesting boxes is angled for rain run off and has a butynol waterproofing strip to keep the rain out.

The coop proper has a hinged window shutter with stainless mesh over the window opening to keep pests out and chooks in. The shutter can be opened for summer and almost closed (always has ventilation) for winter, the shutter also has a butynol weather strip.

The ply is all H3.2 treated; Floor is 12mm with 9mm walls. Timber is H3.2 treated apart from legs which are H4 treated – the same as an in ground fence post. (The legs won’t rot however I like to sit them on some paving stones.) All fixtures - screws hinges, bolts etc. are exterior rated.

All of the exterior is painted for extra protection and longevity and to allow your chickens to live in style and be the envy of other chickens in the neighbourhood.
