This is a useful switch for those wanting to run a lot of POE clients at gigabit speeds, unlike earlier POE switches this has enhanced POE+ to support the later IP cameras, IP phones, WAPs etc which can run at gigabit speeds.

The chassis is a 6-slot 4506E with version 7 Supervisor engine model WS-X45-SUP7L-E. Four identical switch modules are installed, they're 48port WS-X4648-RJ45V+E. It has two power supplies which require C19 cables, each PSU has two inputs for power redundancy.

It's a powerful core switch so it's not for the budget conscious, with 192x POE ports it uses considerably more power than the standard 1U models. Note again power sockets are 15amp C19, buyer will need to supply their own cabling.

We've had it about 6 months, used it intermittently and had no problems with it. We haven't tested every port but will warranty it's all ok. IOS is installed on the SD card, we'll supply it with config cleared. It has just the factory standard licencing.
