Description

Reliable and efficient potters kiln. I bought it as new and have had it 5 years. It fires automatically perfect every time. The programmer comes with it and is simple to use. The external dimensions are 75 cm wide and 75 cm depth. It is on castors so easy to move around the studio. I brought it down from Auckland using a hire trailer with a ramp. Easy as to load onto the trailer. Just wheeled it on. Needs 4 people comfortably to lift using the attached handles. These kilns are made in NZ and have a good reputation for reliability and design. It comes with five kiln shelves and props and is ready to go. Its two phase so was a straightforward job for sparky. Less than an hour to do the connection and no 3 phase needed. I fire all bisque to 1000 centigrade and mid stoneware to 1210 centigrade. Does go up to 1300 centigrade.

  • Hi, what make and model is it please? And what type of controller does it have? l***1 (80) • 9:37 am, Thu, 27 Mar Hi The kiln is made by Cobcraft in Rangiora. They are an old school very reputable firm. They have a good website showing all their products and accessories. 1300c (272) • Thursday, 27 March 2025
  • Hi. What is the reason for selling please ? b*************9 (10) • 6:44 am, Fri, 28 Mar I am selling this kiln in good faith. There are no issues and it's kiln I have really enjoyed using. I have had many kilns over my 44 years to date working with ceramics and this has been a favorite. I was going to sell 2 years ago on TM but withdrew it to keep it till now. I am about to move and will be traveling overseas as well so I am definitely selling this time. 1300c (272) • Friday, 28 March 2025
  • Hey can you please share the internal dimensions? Thanks c*************8 (10) • 7:32 am, Fri, 28 Mar The internal width is 60 cm. The internal depth is 50 cm. 1300c (272) • Friday, 28 March 2025
  • Never mind! Sorted :) c*************8 (10) • 7:40 am, Fri, 28 Mar All good. For context I can load and fire 128 tumblers comfortably. I've fired large platters and large country kitchen bowls in it so it's big enough for larger ceramic works. 1300c (272) • Friday, 28 March 2025
  • The controller is made my EMG. It can run multiple cycles and hold as well. When bisqueing I hold at the start at 95 cent. for 12 hours to completely dry the clay then 90 to 900, then hold two hours to clean out the clay (prevents several glaze issues) then 100 to 1000c hold 5 minutes then off. It's a very accurate controller. Seller comment Friday, 28 March 2025
  • Thank you does it have a safety shutoff or error alert system too? c*************8 (10) • 4:21 pm, Fri, 28 Mar Yes if there's a power outage or fluctuations it will stop the firing and sends an error alert beeping sound. It really is user friendly and will follow the input from the operator precisely. I can be away from it for several hours and know almost exactly what the temperature will be in the kiln. My studio is in the base floor of our 140 year old villa and I'm very safety conscious.. I have complete faith in this kiln and the programmer. 1300c (272) • Friday, 28 March 2025
  • Thank you kindly c*************8 (10) • 5:30 pm, Fri, 28 Mar All good. 1300c (272) • Friday, 28 March 2025

  • Could you take a photo of the shelves and props please? g*****e (369) • 11:44 am, Tue, 1 Apr Photo added. There's three large round shelves. Tidy but well used. Similar size sells for 170 each new. Two hexagonal shelves both very tidy. Numerous props various sizes, and there's a spare kiln element. I bought that when I purchased the kiln thinking I'd need it. It will come in handy sooner or later. 1300c (272) • Tuesday, 1 April 2025

  • If I was to win the auction for this kiln would I be able to pick up after Easter? k***a (167) • 4:08 pm, Tue, 1 Apr Hi, No problem. I could put it into storage at your cost. Not expensive. Kennard and like have small size storage compartments. I could then courier the key and code to you for you to collect. 1300c (272) • Tuesday, 1 April 2025
  • Where is the kiln a****s (366) • 1:33 pm, Wed, 2 Apr Napier.. 1300c (272) • Wednesday, 2 April 2025
  • Hi, just checking if you would be ok to meet with movers with a tail lift truck if I won. I’d need to ship it up to Auckland :) thanks m**o (39) • 2:25 pm, Wed, 2 Apr That would be okay. If it's also collected from storage be no probs for truck to drive in to a storage building to collect. Depends on your time frame. I could leave the key in the storage office for the truckies if necessary. 1300c (272) • Wednesday, 2 April 2025
