This auction is for a license for the transmission of sound broadcasting services. It is being held on behalf of the Crown through the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment's Radio Spectrum Management team. Note that the start price is also the reserve price.

This licence is at Otematata (Waitaki District) Latitude -44.6388696 Longitude 170.1599761 at 94.9 MHz (FM). It is valid until April 2 2031. Coordinates are specified in NZGD2000/WGS84 format. This licence is referred to as lot 2 in the auction catalogue. The winning bidder will be required to fulfil an implementation requirement of being on air for three months within two years of purchase.
