A vintage Morse Code key, dates from 1954, according to the serial number. My husband was a Ham Radio Operator since childhood and this was his key.
My husband, Kent Cullers PhD, who was the first and ONLY totally blind from birth physicist. He was NASA's Team Leader for the SETI program and was awarded NASA's Medal for Exceptional Engineering. He was a genius. He learned Morse code at an early age to communicate with the world (before internet) and forged new searches in space using radio astrometry.

It's in good condition, however I was told the unit is missing a pedestal and fittings for the Dash contact and the Thumb piece is damaged. The speed weight is also missing. All can be gotten at: http://www.vibroplex.com
Morse key first manufactured and sold in 1905 by the Vibroplex Company, after its invention by Horace Greeley Martin of New York City in 1904. The Vibroplex Company has been in business continuously for 114 years. As of 2019, amateur radio operator Scott E. Robbins, call sign W4PA, became the eighth owner of the Vibroplex Company on December 21, 2009. The company is located in Knoxville, Tennessee.
