Do you remember the grapefruit lady? Well, this is the lady grapefruit.

There’s no questioning what the good lord intended to create with this sweet specimen, her lips don’t lie.

While this lady grapefruit is in perfect health (picked on the 18th or 19th of June), many wahine have to fight extra hard to be heard when it comes to the health of their lady grapefruits. Endometriosis is just as common as asthma, but it can take years, or even decades of pain to be diagnosed. And we’re not talking about a pesky monthly cramp here, the pain of endo has been compared to appendicitis, childbirth or being severed in half with a blunt saw.

All proceeds from this auction will go to endometriosis NZ, a not for profit that has empowered many of my friends to live their best lives, in spite of this bastard of an illness.
