These guards are manufactured in Christchurch by Amega Wire Ltd ( known now as Uniweld). We have been manufacturing fireguards for over 25 years, and this guard has been developed to have clean lines, strong construction for long life, and to be affordable.

Our guards have a 10mm soild bar outer frame with 8mm vertical bars at 50mm spacing's between the bars. The door (if required) has a discreet two way latch system, which makes it difficult for young ones to understand and open.

Our guards are hinged at the corners, so they are able to fold down. Hinges can be locked at desired angle so that they maintain the correct shape on a FLUSH hearth. Comes with hooks welded on the back of the guard for attachment to the wall.

Standard height 750mm

All guards are made of bright steel, and have a heat resistant baked on POWDER COATED finish (same as aluminum window frames), which makes for a very durable, long lasting, QUALITY PRODUCT.
