With its graceful, arching flower stems and bell-shaped blooms, it is easy to understand why Dierama is commonly called Angel’s fishing rod.

It might take a couple of years to reach its full size but it well worth the effort! The flower steams can get 1.4 mtr tall and the bell shapes flowers hang delicately on the swaying “wands”. Flowering time; beginning of summer in the North, further south from mid summer on to early autumn. A sun loving drought tolerant plant which can handle a wide range of soil types. Great for boarder planting also Suitable for exposed coastal planting. Sandy soils are not a problem. Evergreen in milder climates dies down in cooler arias. Can handle temperatures down to -9C but make sure you winter mulch it well. Uses are; Architectural, costal planting, courtyard garden, flower arranging, flower border and bed and waterside planting.
