Flowering cherry seeds - Prunus campanulata Superba. This is from a deep pink flowering cherry with tubular flowers. It makes a beautiful spring display. Berries are not edible.
Seeds are best sown in autumn and left overwinter to germinate in spring, but can be sown in spring. Plants can grow 30-40 cm in year one, 1-1.5 metres in year two. They may flower in year two or, more likely, year three. Trees grow to 15 m. Grows best in full sun for great flowering.
They do not produce edible cherries. They are grown for their spring blossoms.
They suit well drained sites and tolerate a wide variety of soil conditions, including summer dry. They are hardy and survive hard frost.
Photo is of my mature flowering cherry tree.
You are bidding on a minimum of 5 seeds that easily germinate - but may take time. Seeds are best grown in autumn or, if you refer, spring. Growing instructions included.
