After a happy engagement and wedding (no break up involved!) I have a wedding band to wear, so I have decided to sell my engagement ring to fund my new husband's trip to Japan in October to watch the All Black's win the Rugby World Cup. He has secured tickets to the semi and the final with a bunch of mates so any funds raised will cover his airfares, food, activities and booze. Wouldn't you rather your hard earned cash funded another lad's piss trip, instead of going to a jewellery store?
I will even chuck in two additional rings free!
The main ring: This is from Walker & Hall, 18 carat white gold, Princess cut 0.46ct solitaire (normal person's language: one square diamond). Comes with original written valuation of $4,540.
Purchased in March 2018 and has spent at least half of this time sitting in its box unworn as I don't wear it to work or while exercising, doing housework, gardening, swimming etc.
Comes in original black box with gold cover detailing (and labelled Walker & Hall inside) plus original bag.
I would prefer this was picked up in person in Wellington to avoid any postage risks but I can send via tracked courier if you are happy with this.
Freebie female ring 2: Plain yellow gold thin band (2mm), comfort fit, stamped '14k'. Purchased in the USA approx. 3 years ago and rarely worn.
Freebie men's ring: I was advised when purchasing this second hand that this was real gold and this was confirmed by a jeweller I took this to to have it cleaned. I can't recall how many carats or whether the diamond is real, this was over 8 years ago and it has sat in its box unworn ever since. I can't make out what the stamp inside says. The band is slightly thicker at the front, and has an angled line etched in to give it detail.
