This is a Tokai acoustic guitar serial number 49111. I'm a drummer so don't know much about it. (Well, anything really). I bought it off a guitarist I was gigging with 25yrs ago and it wasnt new then. I learnt to play on it and it had a lovely feel to it with a nice sound and a low enough easy action for my "stubby fingers". I loaned it to a friend (?) two years ago and when I finally got it back off him the bone bridge, peg and strings were missing! Whats that about!!! Wrapped in blanket and put in the wardrobe where its been for 19yrs till we moved in March. Had bought nice D.28 by then. I took it to our local guitar guru who said "Quote "Hamamatsu 96.F series, cats eye Tokai. Early seventies from serial no! Really good condition for its age with no garks or serious scratches. Neck, body, fretboard, truss rod all good. A,D,E machine heads require tightening (?). Quite collectable now and probably in playable condition worth $$$$! Cost $60 approximately to put in that condition! "Unquote". Value he put on it quite surprised me as I only paid $100 for it 25yrs ago. Don't play much anymore (guitar) and have an old Martin so don't need two. someone might like it. Don't really want to spend any money on it but will if it doesn't sell. Any questions I will probably have to ask Alistair but am happy to do that. Freight would probably be around $20/25 but depends where you are.
