Yamaha U300SX Upright Piano

This U300SX full size upright Silent Piano was built in the famed Yamaha factory in Hamamatsu Japan in 1996 (considered Yamaha’s best piano manufacturing facility).

U300s were only manufactured for a short window, so are very sought after. This is the more valuable “Silent Piano” model. This piano has a factory fitted silent system. It plays like a normal acoustic piano and with a flick of a switch can only be heard through headphones. Standard model U300s usually sell for $11,500 - $13,000+ depending on condition. The slient piano models usually sell for around $15,000.

This particular piano is an absolutely mint condition, stunning sounding piano. It is effectively in as-new condition. Comes with stool included. Only selling due to moving to a smaller house where we can no longer keep a piano.

For this full size top-of-the-range model Yamaha used only the best soundboard, strings, hammers and piano cabinet materials. A silent piano is designed for private silent practice. In the silent mode, sensors pick up the piano key movement. The key movement is then converted to a MIDI signal and can link to a sound module, allowing the person to utilize headphones.

Yamaha U300 is a varient of Yamaha's U3 upright piano series. Made in Japan in the mid-1990s the U300 is an improved version of U30.
