The might micro - now 20 years old and still going strong!....The microKORG came about when Korg downsized their now discontinued MS2000 synthesizer and the microKORG was the result. The virtual engine is directly carried over so both machines sound identical.

This special 20th Anniversary edition is the same as the original classic, but has been reimagined into a transparent crystal case, with the original green circuit boards replaced with white for a clean look. The original plate is now a reflective metal mirror panel creating a visually striking look.

Despite its age, the microKORG synth retains popularity even though it has technically been superseded first by the MicroKORG XL+, and then the new microKORG2. Part of its success is its iconic look and layout, and the MS2000 sound engine it inherited has a warm character, particularly in the low end that differentiates it timbre to that of the more modern and punchy MMT engine used by MicroKORG XL/+ (same technology as Radias and R3).
