Japanese records are better as they used top quality vinyl making the sound better. They also did shorter production runs which also made for higher quality sound. The covers are usually made from heavy duty cardboard, all records have lyrics either in an insert or on the cover, unless noted otherwise. Records are issued with a wrap around piece of paper called an obi, which has the titles etc in japanese and this makes them more collectable. All 45s have picture covers also usually with lyrics on the back. And the original first pressings were made in a deep red vinyl, which is also sort after.
