Archie is a very loving, loyal pup. He is a large Catahoula X, approx. 7 months old (we are not sure what he is mixed with).

Despite being severely neglected for the first few months of his life; Archie is a big, handsome goofball who is a little shy at first but soon warms up and is very affectionate.

He enjoys going for walks and is great with people and other dogs. He is a striking looking dog and gets lots of compliments on his looks! He is a quick learner who is food motivated.

He has learnt to sit, wait and is doing really well with threshold manners and recall. He is respectful, gentle and does not mouth or jump up. He sleeps in his crate overnight and happy to spend time chilling during the day.

He is toilet trained, doing well with lead training and is eager to please. He loves being with people and is very affectionate.

Being medium energy, he enjoys chilling with his family after a walk. He has been fostered with several other dogs (including 2 chihuahuas) and a dog savvy cat. He is great at staying close on pack walks and coming when called.

Ellie’s Canine Rescue are based in Wellington, depending on the dog we do adopt out of the Wellington region but request any potential owner meet us and the dog in person and if successful drive home with the dog. We do not ship dogs unmet. Undesexed dogs and puppies are not rehomed outside of the Greater Wellington Region.
