The high range version of this popular thermostat is has a higher set point range, normal pulse controls up to 32 degrees. This High Range can be set up to 40 degrees.

The HabiStat Pulse Thermostat is ideal for controlling ceramic heaters and for heat mats.

A normal thermostat switches a heater on full power until the set temperature is achieved. It then switches the heater off completely until the temperature drops below the set value, when the cycle starts over again. The gap between the heater being switched on and then off is called hysteresis. It is between these points that the accuracy of the controller is assessed.

The pulse proportional thermostat pulses electricity to the heater all the time, resulting in constant and very accurately managed warmth.

A cleverly designed Pulse Proportional Thermostat, this HabiStat Thermostat is perfect for managing the heat created by non-light-emitting reptile heat sources, such as Ceramic Heaters and Heat Mats.

Rather than simply turning on/off, or varying the intensity of your heating equipment, the HabiStat Pulse Proportional sends pulses of varying frequency to your ceramic heating equipment or heat mat to gradually and gently increase the temperature your reptile experiences.

Because it sends pulses, it isn't suitable for glass heat bulbs, but is perfect for non-light emitting heaters

For light emitting bulbs use the Habistat Dimming Thermostats.
