Description

An excellent example of the fine studio ceramics made by the highly respected NZ Potter and Ceramics Tutor Neil Grant. ( 1938 - 2024)

Neil Grants output was heavily influenced by the work of Shoji Hamada, as well as Japanese and also Chinese Ceramics as a whole.. This aesthetic is often seen in his brushed decoration using oxides and slip painting.

This is beautifully made and decorated stoneware trinket box in a shallow form, and in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.

It measures 112mm wide by 45mm high, and it is impressed to its base with the potters seal mark.

Happy Bidding. Note: Will only be sent within New Zealand. Thank you.
