Missing Wingman Trust 12 Days of Christmas Charity Auctions. No 2.

The Missing Wingman Trust is the Charity that supports our Air Force family. This is one of 12 Christmas auctions. You are bidding for the following prize:

Biggin Hill - Manawatu. A personal guided tour of Brendon Deere's warbird collection, sit in the Spitfire, a flight in a WWII Harvard, and Air Tattoo tickets.

This is a truly unique experience you'll struggle to find anywhere else in the world. The 'Biggin Hill' hangar at Ohakea Air Force Base houses some of the coolest warbirds in the country, none more so than WWII Spitfire PV270. You can read more about the hangar and the collection here, including the story of owner Brendon Deere's uncle Air Commodore Alan "Al" Deere, DSO, OBE, DFC & Bar, a famous NZ Spitfire pilot in the Battle of Britain.

This prize gives you the chance to have a personal tour of Brendon's collection at Ohakea, including the one-time opportunity to sit in the genuine WWII spitfire cockpit. Following the tour you or your loved one will get a flight in the WWI Harvard trainer (pictured below). If that's not enough, you can come back to Ohakea with a free family pass to the RNZAF's 2017 Air Tattoo.

No ground transport or accommodation is included.   Note: Flight to be conducted on a day mutually agreed by winner and Biggin Hill; the passenger must be over 18 unless agreed with the Biggin Hill team, and be in good enough health to conduct an adventure aviation flight; all costs associated with transport to and from the Manawatu is at the participants expense. Day and time of thet Biggin Hill visit and flight to be agreed by Biggin Hill and the winner(s).

Also included is a family pass (two adults and two children) to the 2017 Military Air Tattoo at RNZAF Base Ohakea. This does not include transport to the tattoo.
