A unique chance to be part of Christchurch’s rebuild history awaits 1 person!

Naylor Love & Ceres NZ, the contractors demolishing 14-storey Radio Network House in Christchurch, have donated this fundraising opportunity for someone to ‘push the button’ to detonate the explosives that will bring the building down, to the Canterbury Earthquake Heritage Buildings Fund - http://www.savecanterburyheritage.org.nz

The Fund was established after the 4 September earthquake to provide assistance to owners of heritage buildings to repair earthquake damage. The NZ Government has pledged to match $1-for-$1 all funds raised, so the final bid price will be doubled.

5 REASONS TO BID

  1. This could be your 15 seconds of fame. There'll be squillions of cameras & media covering the event. You could literally explode your way onto the celebrity circuit.
  2. When else can you blow something up and get off scot-free?
  3. It'd make the ultimate gift for that-hard-to-buy-for-man (or woman)in your life.
  4. You earned it: you should be able to BLOW IT any way you want.
  5. If you are a business, your winning bid may be tax deductible.

The auction winner is responsible for getting to Christchurch and onsite from 7:30am on Sunday August 5.

Naylor Love is working on several important heritage projects in Christchurch in the aftermath of the earthquakes, including the Isaac Theatre Royal, Christ’s College, the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament & New Regent St.

The winning bidder's contribution to the Fund will be put towards the restoration of the Isaac Theatre Royal, with matched funding from the government going towards the Funds other restoration projects.
