


2009 Riviera 38
Description
The Riviera 38 is the successor to the popular Riviera 37, with luxurious enhancements. Its length is 13.09mtrs and a beam of 4.23mtrs. Fuel capacity is 1450ltrs, water is 460ltrs. Launched 2009, it has all the features you would expect from a Riviera.
Propulsion is via twin Cummins QSB 380hp electronics engines on shafts. Engine hours are port – 1388 hrs, starboard – 1464 hrs. A bow thruster enhances manoeuvrability.
The two cabins provide a double island berth forward, with two bunks in the side cabin. A second double is available in the saloon. The comfortable saloon has plenty of storage and leads out to a large cockpit.
Being fully electric, it has a 2 hob cook top and a combination convection oven in the galley, plus air conditioning throughout. All this is supported by an Onan 7kVa genset. Refrigeration includes fridges in the galley, saloon and flybridge, all with ice boxes. There is a separate freezer in the cockpit.
The 12 volt system is provided by 4 x 225ah 6 volt AGM house batteries, totalling 450ah and installed in 2022. A 60AH battery charger keeps them topped up.
The flybridge helm station is supported by electronic engine controls and 2 x Raymarine 12 inch MFDs - an Axiom Plus installed 2025 along with matching radar dome, and a Hybrid Touch, linked to a 2kw transducer and auto pilot. Anchoring can be fully controlled from the flybridge and has auto anchor/chain counter.
Ground tackle was replaced in 2021 with a Vulcan 25kg anchor and new chain as part of chain/rope rode.
The tender is a 2.9m RIB with an 8hp Mercury outboard and sits on its foredeck cradle. A foredeck electric davit enables effortless deployment.
For the fisher, it has Relax game poles and a removable Relax cockpit fishing table. A live bait tank is built into the transom. Ther is also a kill locker in the floor of the cockpit.
