The TE4-0227 (the Te4-0226's bigger brother) has just arrived and is bigger and better & is guaranteed for 12 months on a RTB Basis.

• Diagnosis & rescues highly drained batteries.
• Recovers slightly sulphated batteries
• Provides trickle & maintenance in pulse charge mode for extended battery life.
• Can run DC power supply to 13.6v & 5 amps.
• Reverse polarity protected & heat protected.
• Output is switchable 2/5/10 amps in the 12v mode & 2/ 5 amps in the 24v mode.
• Auto detects 12 or 24v systems
• Suitable all lead acid types, including Calcium, Gel & has a VRLA higher voltage mode

WHILST IT CAN RESCUE A HIGHLY DRAINED BATTERY AND ENABLE IT TO GO THROUGH THE CHARGING PROCESS, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TOTALLY DEAD FLAT & TOTALLY DEAD..

In its rescue phase it will read a battery as low as 4.5v, initiate a low charge/ high voltage input for 4 hours to bring it back into correct voltage range, then automatically move into a conventional high charge, then descending rates until its Pulse float level is achieved.

In its float phase it will hold a normal stand alone battery in a full state of charge with its PULSE charge. The LED lights will indicate this position. This is a auto float function not a charger re-start. A restart can simply be achieved by manually turning off & on the power connection, or connecting via a cheap mechanical timer that is scheduled for a stop/start once every 24 hours.
