2.3 Ford DURATEC/Mazda L Engine *NO RESERVE*

Purchased a second hand car from a second hand car dealership, engine developed a rod knock shortly after purchase, during the process of getting it repaired, and the dealership denying all responsibility and claiming there was nothing mechanically wrong with the car, it spun a rod bearing.

Engine is in rebuild able condition, Crank will most likely need machining or replacement, but everything else appears to have escaped damage when the bearing went, was intending to rebuild it myself and use it as a spare but now just want it gone- so my loss is entirely your gain.

Complete engine including heads, vvt, etc, heads look good but have not inspected the camshafts, so that's up to you. ENGINE DID NOT OVERHEAT, it died from oil starvation because whoever owned this before me thought oil changes were something you did once a decade.

Engine had 175k km on it when it went, and is being sold as-is, i have endeavored to describe it as best i can so you know exactly what you are getting but if you have any questions or queries please ask, this engine is definitely rebuildable but i have not dug into it in an effort to keep it together until it's ready to do the actual rebuild.
