Description
This is a large TMC Turner MFG Co Ltd five (5) speed gearbox, with top gear being an overdrive ratio. Possibly from a Bedford?? someone else will know better than me. Understood to be in very good order.
Suit bus or large vehicle restoration. Let me know if there are any questions, see the information below received from the UK on this particular gearbox
"Hello Theo, Richard lines has passed your web site inquiry on to me. I worked for Turners from 1966 till 2008. The gearbox you have is a MK1 T5-300 series unit built in June 1971. It is an overdrive unit used on a (GM) Bedford truck or coach. The ratio set is “3210” which has the following ratios. 1st 6.06:1, 2nd 3.0:1, 3rd 1.70:1, 4th 1.00:1, 5th 0.855:1 Reverse 6.00:1. I think it would most likely have been used with either the 330 diesel engine or the 300 petrol engine. Can I ask where you got the gearbox from and what do you plan on using it for? Best regards, Larry Hopkins."
