Has it been written off in the past and what have you done to it. It seems to be above value estimates on collectors car market. How did you get that price? Cheers Brett eng9(338• 09:27 am, Mon, 4 Nov ) No - straight as , its been well maintained, When you have this amount invested in a vehicle you stay informed on comparable sales and values, or at least like to think you do. Thanks frankhenry(56• Monday, 4 November 2019 ) Sorry I have to say this it Makes me Laugh how some poeple claim its over Priced according to the Market the Market changes all the time I'd say its priced Right I'd say just out off there Price range. marrcus1(97• 01:32 pm, Mon, 4 Nov ) Yep - its a big number.. frankhenry(56• Monday, 4 November 2019 ) we are proud owners of a original ( unrestored (DBS '72)... these vehicles are worth more, if unrestored... nothing more disjusting that a fully restored looking classic car..(within reason...of course!). good luck satlink(833• 01:58 pm, Mon, 4 Nov ) Thanks frankhenry(56• Monday, 4 November 2019 ) This ia a stunning car it's a pity about the stupid comments by people who have no idea about such a vehicle. Very collectible now, maybe London is the place to sell it but there are some serious collectors as you probably already know. I wish you luck with this sale. If not keep it. happyjohnp(34• 09:21 pm, Mon, 4 Nov ) Thanks frankhenry(56• Monday, 4 November 2019 ) I'm amazed at the so called experts on here. This car is worth what someone is willing to pay. Some very well off people in newzealand if i was one of them well if I wanted something like this for my wife price would be irrelevant. kap28(31• 06:21 am, Tue, 5 Nov ) Agree frankhenry(56• Tuesday, 5 November 2019 ) Shes a beauty! Congrats on owning such an iconic and stunning vehicle! I'll never be able to own one myself unfortunately but please could you tell me how much fun have you had cruising around in this piece of art? :) Thanks jb0084(268• 09:21 am, Tue, 5 Nov ) Many Roadies frankhenry(56• Tuesday, 5 November 2019 ) Hi frankhenry, I also own an Aston Martin. Mine is a 1963 DB4S5 Vantage which is similar to yours. These are fantastic cars. I can remember many years ago cruising at 100mph on a long straight country back road in NZ. It was a nice summer day and the wind was lightly buffeting us through the open side windows. The noise from the exhaust was a joy to the ears. The lamp posts were just a blurr and I was only in 3rd gear! I wanted to put it into 4th gear and see how fast it would go but, cont. rjb15(521• 11:45 am, Tue, 5 Nov ) >> frankhenry(56• Tuesday, 5 November 2019 ) cont. - my wife wouldn't let me! This is when you need the ejector seat model! These are very unique cars and I believe that if yours was sitting in a London showroom it would be selling for NZ1.5m+. These cars are better than money in the bank so someone should grab themselves a bargin. Regards rjb15(521• 11:45 am, Tue, 5 Nov ) Cheers, yip a ton easy with two gears to go frankhenry(56• Tuesday, 5 November 2019 ) Hey Mate, this beauty is a stunner, we don't get to know much about these old cars in NZ, Could you hang onto it until Sunday morning, I'm thinking of winning the Lotto,, also I'm over 80, I don't suppose I will hurt my back getting in and out for my Cuppochinos if it goes before then,, Good luck to you,, what a lovely old Classic car this is chooks8(168• 08:21 pm, Tue, 5 Nov ) Good luck lucky numbers ...19645 frankhenry(56• Tuesday, 5 November 2019 ) I think it is a fair price on a world market. The dealers in the UK do look at Trade Me and try to match up buyers which they have on there books. Brexit has slowed things down but when you consider a convertible is worth twice as much people will pay a premium for a beautiful car. Good luck with the sale. robman9112(27• 10:35 pm, Thu, 7 Nov ) thanks frankhenry(56• Thursday, 7 November 2019 ) When you think of how much individuals will pay for a modern super car, which in most cases depreciate as soon as you drive them out of the dealers door, why wouldn't you invest in this superb work of art. They don't make them any more, they didn't make many in the first place and they certainly don't make them look as good as this beauty. Worth every penny in my book. rodgerrabbit(216• 11:19 am, Fri, 8 Nov ) Hello. Howya going cobber? Such an awesome car. I,m very interested with a view to road testing and full appraisal. there are a couple of concerns. a) what is the power output at the rear wheels? b) does it have an external radio aerial? c) is aerial mounted front or rear? I prefer twin aerials usually on the front gaurds. This allows long aerials to facilitate displaying my twin overhead foxtails - trophies from my FJ holden days Newcastle (BHP). I'm worried the DB5 will be short of grunt? movnon(38• 12:49 pm, Tue, 12 Nov )
