Description
Up for sale is my 1974 Daimler Sovereign (twin to the Jaguar XJ6), 4.2 Automatic (no o/d), around 197,000kms, located in Timaru.
Has Wof and Rego.
Very tidy considering its age, paint and interior are in really good condition, has cream leather interior. Twin SU HS8 carbs, converted to manual choke. Has recently had a new distributor with points and condenser, and a new coil.
Runs and drives lovely, start very well. No rust from what I can see.
Cons
- Has an engine oil leak, not 100% sure where from.
- Couple of knocks in the suspension somewhere. Haven’t got round to diagnosing but goes through WOFs just fine.
- Twin tank car, however one of the pumps can be a bit iffy sometimes, so I just run the one tank most of the time.
Absolutely gutted to see it go but no longer have room in storage to keep and really don't want to let it sit outside.
