Lotus Elan+2 1971 S130 Lotus Twincam 1558cc (Big Valve head, L Block.)

This is a Matching Numbers car. The Block has been completely rebuilt. New QED complete head, cams etc ($11,500 NZD) Rear Axles, CV Joint conversion. Gearbox and Diff rebuilt. New Battery and New High Torque Stater motor (Oct ’25). Electronic Ignition. New Electric Fuel pump. New Water pump. High efficient Radiator with Electric Fan.

Electric Headlight lifter conversion. Factory Lotus Brand Alloy Wheels. New Upholstery throughout including mats. Daytime running lights. Factory fitted, Front Lucas Spot lights. NZ new Radio. Workshop and Parts Manuals.

Number Plate 2L0TUS is included with the car.

I still have some spares and these will all go with the car (Not sold Separately) Also included with the car is an Isuzu 5 speed gearbox with all the instructions required to retro fit this gearbox into the Elan. This gearbox will give a .88 Overdrive Ratio and is a popular conversion for these cars.

I have owned this car for 15years as a rolling restoration. This car drives really well, it is smooth and comfortable and a great tourer, I have driven the car all over the South Island and it is extremely reliable.

This is a really lovely car to own and drive, it really turns the heads of all admirers. Sadly at my age (85 years) the time has come for me to part with my Elan.
