1975 lotus elite 501, 5 speed manual.
2 owners over the last 30 years, the car was off the the road for many years but has been brought back to life over the last 4 years.
- new aluminium radiator, hoses, thermostat and twin electric cooling fans installed,
- new water pump and timing belt installed,
- carburettors have been fully rebuilt,
- new pancake style air filters fitted, supplied by weber specialties. original filter box will come with the car,
- new electronic fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator installed,
- new battery was installed,
- new spark plugs, leads, coil and electronic distributor installed,
- alternator has had new brushes installed,
- 5 wheels refurbished with new tyres fitted,
- 4 new avo adjustable shocks installed,
- new anti roll bar bushes installed,
- 2 new rear exhaust mufflers installed,
- interior seats and gearbox tunnel have been professionally re-upholstered,
- new speakers and Bluetooth amplifier installed in the boot,
- gear knob re-furbished * new carpets installed in the cabin and boot, new headlining installed,
- all the glass was removed and professionally re-bonded,
- headlights have been converted from vacuum operation to mx5 motors,
- the car has been wrapped to to take it back to it's original colour scheme,
- will come with an original lotus workshop manual that has been invaluable.
Things still to do.
- the heater and blower fan are not working,
- sun visors have been repaired they need covering and installing,
This is a very honest car and will make a great usable classic, selling as I have my eye on another car.

How is the body condition and the rust etc. wougly (45 • 5:53 pm, Tue, 18 NovHi, The body is extremely straight for a 50 year old car. There is no known rust, not had any problems getting a warrant of fitness. It is in great shape for its age.
