2003 Lotus Other Seven Replica
Background check
Description
Lotus Seven Replica with new engine and re bult gearbox.
I've enjoyed owning my Lotus 7 replica, I purchased it 5 years ago from the 2nd owner, and have driven it a lot around the bottom of the North Island with the Fraser Car Club, including parts of the Fraser 5000, but other commitments and family have meant I've hardly used it since I had the engine rebuilt. I blew up the engine at the Fraser car club track day 3 years ago and spent $17,000 having the engine and gearbox rebuilt, alongside other work on the car by Al McLennan at MacBilt (receipts in photos). It drives really well and is super responsive. Its a Gen 3 3SGE Toyota with 45 DCOE Webers. The car is mechanically really great, but its cosmetically a little bit rough. Its comfortable on long drives, and is also great on the track.
In discussions with Fraser cars and others we think its a Piranha Chassis made in the Hawkes Bay, but everything else is Fraser sourced.
Potential test pilots will be assessed as to likely competence driving a car with c.400 BHP per Ton.
It owes me $37,000 , so is realistically priced at $25,000. I'd be interested in Swaps/Trade for a Jet ski or Power boat, or a daily Drivable sports car that can be stored outside, or a SUV/Ute that can carry 4 adults and tow an Australian Caravan.
Number plate will change once sold/traded.
