Description

1966 Volkswagen Kombi Split Window – 11 Window – Genuine NZ New – Massive Head Turner

Reluctantly putting my 1966 split-window Kombi up for sale. This is a genuine, honest old bus with loads of character and an awesome presence wherever it goes. Gets attention everywhere and always starts conversations.

Originally sold new in Whakatane in 1966 and comes with original ownership/purchase paperwork from when the vehicle was first bought new. Mechanically very reliable and a great cruiser. Not a hidden-over restoration — what you see is what you get. Any patch repairs have been left exposed intentionally so you can see exactly what has been done. No bogged-up surprises.

Features / Work Completed:

Genuine 1966 11-window split-window Kombi Reliable original-style 1500cc engine Runs and drives well Recent WOF and registration Completely rewired New floor pan fitted Completely new upholstery throughout Honest solid body No rust hidden under filler Exposed repair sections/patch panels for transparency Comes with a genuine Kombi roof rack

Massive head turner with classic split-screen charm

Included with Sale: Comes with a large collection of genuine Volkswagen Kombi repair panels and spare parts to take the bus even further if desired, including: Genuine V-Dub door skins Genuine full van side panel Additional genuine Kombi patch panels and selected spare parts This gives the next owner the option to simply enjoy it exactly as it is, or take it to the next level cosmetically and make it absolutely mint. A very honest old-school Kombi that turns heads everywhere it goes.
