Taupo Bay has one of New Zealand's most beautiful and safe swimming beaches and the fishing up north here is just great. Beach launching for our boats.
This Land is in 2 lots, 1.4104 hectares and 1856 sq metres. The smaller borders Taupo Bay Road and is 1 km from Taupo Bay's beach. The larger is behind and separated by a paper road.
The smaller lot is mostly flat and consists of "uncontrolled fill", mostly from the widening and sealing of Taupo Bay Road over 20 years ago. Building on this would require very deep or other special foundations. I have not considered this so have not looked into exactly what would be required. Should be great for parking your caravan or other mobile home or perhaps for erecting buildings that do not require a permit.
The larger lot is mostly sloping with a little flat area at the top. An approved house site (and TP58 report) is in the mown area seen in photo number 6. The driveway up the hill is now grassed over and mostly unused for 10 years or more. I have kept this mown. Power pole on the right side and underground phone line beside the fence. When the property is developed (building house etc) there is a requirement for the stream crossing to be upgraded.
