A walk into the forest at the end of the garden meandering past mature Poriri and Nikau felt a world away and the owners instantly fell in love with it. Catching freshwater crays from a stony brook on their property was something they could only dream about doing with their children, yet here they were living it.

"It's been such a gift for our children, it's enriched and nourished their lives, connecting them to nature, not I-pads. It's been so grounding for them. They have developed courage and confidence which has grown them into independent capable freespirits and we love that" said the owners. "The house has been good too", they chuckle. "Let's not forget that!"

"Having a lounge on each side of the house provides space and different zones and a chance to celebrate what we really appreciate; light and those magic sun-rises and sunsets. The plan was to put up a tiny house at the end of the garden for friends and visitors who frequent the caves down the road and seek accommodation in the area. Now it's time to let the next person enjoy its fruits and opportunities. We wish them well and hope they enjoy it just as much as we have"
