600C Bickerstaffe Road, Maungaturoto, Kaipara, Northland

For buyers wanting space to plan from the ground up, this 13 acre Maungaturoto property offers a raw rural canvas with a great building platform. With no dwelling currently in place, the focus is all on the land itself, rolling green contours, wide open outlooks and the freedom to shape a country base around the way you want to live.

Openness is the defining feature. Broad grassy areas roll through the property, broken up by shrubs and vegetation that add texture, shelter and privacy. The outlook stays rural in every direction, with neighbouring farms, valleys and distant hills creating a setting that feels calm, generous and firmly connected to the countryside.

Because the site is undeveloped, there’s scope to think carefully about how future living might work, subject to the usual council requirements. A home could be positioned to capture the strongest outlooks, while separate areas could be planned for grazing, planting, a home orchard or practical lifestyle use. It’s the kind of block where the layout can be guided by the land rather than constrained by an existing build.

Outside, the mix of open ground and established vegetation gives you plenty to work with from day one. There is room for animals, gardens, tree planting or simply creating quiet outdoor spaces that make the most of the valley views. For anyone who enjoys being hands-on with land, the scale and setting give this property real long-term appeal.

Maungaturoto adds a practical layer to the lifestyle, with local township services, schooling options and community facilities within easy reach. If you’ve been waiting for a Northland section with room, outlook and a genuine rural feel, get in touch with David Ayling to arrange a viewing.
