This set of 'Happy Families' playing cards was produced by the New World supermarket, FourSquare and CPS (Cut Price Stores) in the 1980s. It appears to be an example of creative advertising aimed at New Zealand children and families. The packaging and cards include imagery that promotes both the retail chains and grocery products.

Many well-known products and brands are included and have been creatively incorporated into the Happy Family characters.

They are in very good condition, the box does show some wear and from what I can see the top flap has been removed (neatly) from the original box.
