This fridge was purchased by my family new in 1940, one of the first manufactured by Fisher and Paykel, their fridges having previously being imported (up to 1938) from the US. These “Kelvinator” fridges were manufactured from 1939 under license due to a restriction on imports/overseas funds at the start of the war. Still in working condition, and used at the family home until the 1960’s it has been at our bach since then, and having having been used only occasionally during the past 15 years. One of a kind … this will definitely be a unique purchase. In answer to a recent question, there is no light inside the fridge! Happy to allow viewing. Pick up is in Remuera.
