This original retro bark picture is titled Forest Glade and has been composed of the various colours and burned paper bark of the Australian native tree melaleuka and other exquisite soft textured lasting barks.

They are all unique as an art medium.

The artist, Muriel Heyes, is a member of the Art in Bark Association of Australia and her details are on official sticker No 935 on the back (see photo).

It measures 32.5x40cm overall and is mounted in a heavy gilt edged bevelled frame with non-reflective glass to the front.

The artwork itself is 21x39cm and there is a metal hanger to the back top.

The condition is virtually as-new.

It has proved very hard to photograph clearly so extra shots are included to give a better sense of the skill used in this work.
