Description

1.8 kg
2017
Signed by the artist.
Garry Nash was born in Sydney, Australia. He moved to New Zealand in 1973 and became a NZ citizen in 1998.
Garry has been working with hot glass for more than a quarter century. In 2001, he was made an Officer of The New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for his services to Glass Art.
There is pleasure for Nash in working with a permanent material. He is driven by wanting to leave artifacts that record the experience of living in our time for future generations. When it comes to recording history, he sees objects as much more eloquent than words. Nash enjoys working both on a large and small scale. For Nash glass blowing stays fresh by experimentation and pushing the limits of the material.
