Description
This auction is for two tea trios manufactured by Lord Nelson Pottery, Stoke on Trent, circa 1970s. The trios consist of three pieces, a cup, saucer and tea plate / bread and butter plate.
These trios have lovely bold red rose and foliage transfer patterns on white china. Rose bud transfer pattern on the inside of the cups.
Interestingly the saucers and tea plates are the same size which is unusual. Impressed marks on the bottom of the cups and makers marks on the saucers and tea plates.
Cups are a great shape and are 7.5cm tall, the saucers and tea plates are 15.5cm across.
Overall these trios are in very good vintage condition, with just wear to the pretty rose transfer prints in a couple of places, a tiny nibble to the rim of one cup, and some tiny freckles made at the time of manufacture on the inside base of one of the cups, auction priced accordingly.
Lovely retro 1970s tea trios.
