There is a little red ink with a Tongan name. Not distracting AND historical as this note was a BIG sum of money in Tonga in 1967....A LOT

THIS was Tonga's HIGHEST denomination note of the time which replaced the Five Pound note when decimalisation took effect in 1967 in line with New Zealand and Australia

The VERY FEW sales of this rarity that CAN be found on line run from NZ$400 up to $1500 to $2000 in EF and better.

This note is somewhat soiled but has NO tears or holes and is pretty well in FINE for type. I could send this to auction over in Australia BUT - to give you here in NZ a chance first I will offer it at a start price that is CHEAP for what it is AND give the buyer a chance to acquire the OTHE two notes that accompanied this - an A/1 first issue Salote 1/2 pa'anga and an A/1 first issue Salote 1 pa'anga.
