Unusual (in my opinion) because it has formed in the glass at base of bottle "This bottle is the property of the Wohnsiedler Wine Company Ltd".
Research shows Friedrich Wohnsiedler established Poverty Bay's first significant winery at Wairere around 1914. In 1973 control of the family business moved to Montana Wines.

The bottle is perfect and if I had a bottle brush I could have cleaned the inside better. It has a diamond pattern around the base about 3cm high. There is also a floral pattern of grapes hanging from a vine near the shoulder of the bottle. The bottle tapers more than the picture shows.
