Description
Once upon a time way back last century in the early 1970’s when milk came in glass bottles and at only 4 cents a pint (600 mls) I accompanied my parents to the Bay of Islands. When there we of course took to the water on the “Fuller’s World Famous Cream Trip” and back in those days if my memory serves me correctly we actually delivered supplies including the cream to occupants of the surrounding islands.
My parents at the time must have selected the prepacked meal options for us which may or may not have come with this bottle I am selling. If this bottle did not come with the meal my father would have purchased it while on board the boat.
Being the youngster that I was I found the bottle quite intriguing with the print font and the marine nautical chart as a backdrop. Oh yes I had an eye for detail or was it because there were no dolphins to viewed at the time, either way I decided to keep the bottle as a sentimental remembrance of our family trip.
Some decade have of course past and now I bring to you that exact bottle as I have no use for it anymore as my collecting has taken a different path.
So without further ado I present to you this paper labelled bottle from my childhood.
The label reads:
200 mls
Sparkling Bay Charm
Exclusive to Fuller’s World Famous Cream Trip
Supplied by the Duke of Marlborough Hotel, Russell, Bay of Islands. (You all must have been there, please tell me yes).
All photos are taken by me including a recent Fuller’s Cream Trip in March 2017. Although the dolphins have my uploaded Instagram edits: @sixxiii, you can find them if you wish. ;)
Any questions please ask and thank you for viewing (and reading).
