Description
This is a plastic water bottle produced for the "OneWorld" America's Cup 2003 challenge team by TalkingRain Beverage Company of Preston, Washington, U.S.A. and shipped to New Zealand for the team's hydration during the race series.
OneWorld, backed by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and billionaire Craig McCaw and linked to the Seattle Yacht Club, had a budget of $75 million.
The team was eliminated from the Louis Vuitton Cup challengers' series in the semifinal repecharge when it lost to Oracle BMW Racing 4-0
OneWorld was penalised twice during the competition for breaching cup rules and disbanded shortly after elimination.
This item is a fairly original example in seemingly unused condition.
Probably very rare and never to be made again.
Would prefer pick up from Auckland central please, as this will be difficult to mail without the possibility of some leakage along the way
