Description
This fat old Waltham pocket watch is looking for a new home.
Actually, it was made by the American Watch Co in 1881, which became the American Waltham Watch Co about 1885.
For its age, it s in remarkable order, but is not running.
The movement is the well known Broadway grade, 18s size, with seven jewels, and with the serial #1643157.
The case is by the Deuber Watch Case Co, and is marked Silverine, in nickel silver.
The case has hinged front and rear covers which open to 90deg but do not snap shut. It measures 5.78cms.
The porcelain enamel face is near-mint with no cracks or hairlines, and it is decorated with black roman numerals inside a full railroad track perimeter.
The excellent blued steel hands are the shovel and spear type.
This nice old watch is a key wind, key set model and the original key comes with it.
The hinged bezel has a thick bevelled glass crystal in very good condition.
Buyer please contact and pay WITHIN three days thanks.
