This Map of New Zealand was commissioned prior to the death of Prince Albert on 14th December 1861.

Above Prince Albert's name is written "Late," so l assume that it was printed after his death and the word "Late" written on in 1862...maybe.

It measures 116cm x 87cm unfolded, and 19.5cm x 10.5cm, and 2cm high when folded.

It seems to have linen threaded through it or on the back.

Used condition.

As seen in the photos there is a signature written on the back as well as two areas where the paper has come away on the coloured covers.

It has some creases and some of the paper is discolored, faded or worn, and has age spots...as we all would have after 140 plus years.
