This limited edition bottle has been specially reproduced to commemorative the Centennial of Coca-Cola . This replica of the earliest crown seal bottle for Coca-Cola celebrates the 100th anniversary of the first recorded sale of Coca-Cola on May 8,1898. This bottle was introduced in 1900, when according to most accounts, two Chattanooga businessmen - Benjamin Thomas and Joseph Whitehead - paid Asa G Candler one dollar for the right to the bottle Coca-Cola. Previously only available through soda fountains, their vision brought "Coca-Cola"within arm's search of the people of the U.S.A and ultimately, in more 150 countries around the world.
This commemorative bottle is one of limited edition of 5000 produced for employees of Coca-Cola Exports Corporation and authorized bottlers of Coca-Cola in Australia. It was filled in Australia on May 9,1986 ( May 8 Atlanta time ), the 100th birthday of Coca-Cola . The diamond label panel on the bottle is a faithful reproduction of the original label and scripts used in 1900, To mark the centennial of Coca-Cola, the labeling ink used on this replica contains 14 carats gold. Coca-Cola was sold in bottles of this design from 1900 to 1915 when the 6 1/2 oz 185ml contour bottle was introduced.
