Description
p2458
This is one of my Miracle collection that I had forgotten about – just out of packing
measurements 4.5cms diameter
Fastens with a secure roll lock safety catch and good straight pin
Comprising a domed central spire in the targe brooch, and surrounded by wedge shaped pieces of faux agate in banded jet
Set in pewter and ornately decorated around the perimeter and in excellent condition
The signature cartouche is well worn denoting age and dating from the 1960s by what's left of the signature.
The Miracle Company began manufacturing in 1946 and celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 1996. During the past 62 years Miracle Jewellery has been the leading designer of jewellery in Celtic, Irish and Scottish styles.
Made very popular by Queen Victoria who adored Scottish ‘pebble jewellery’ as she called it, because of the wonderful agate stones used. Dinner parties at Balmoral were famed for her insistence that guests wore it to honour her passion for the Scottish landscape.
