Description
Very beautiful deco diamond and spinel ring! This elegant piece was crafted from gorgeous platinum in the 1930s - just look at the stepped geometric design and the square-cut spinels! These icy-blue stones that look like aquamarines are lab stones, which were very popular then, and often used in high-end, entirely handmade pieces like this one, combined with genuine diamonds and platinum - they were seen as a very desirable product of the thrilling machine age!
The combination of colours is just dreamy - and notice the masterful hand-carved detail in the platinum - true old-world workmanship that you just don't see any more. The band is not as thick as on a modern ring - it was made that way - and it has been sized. Currently a size N, and can be sized. Valued at $3000 but offered to you at $1 NO RESERVE - the heat must be getting to me! In extremely nice condition.
The spinels total .81 cts and the diamonds total a quarter of a carat, giving a total for the ring of over 2 carats of icy deco bling! This would make a lovely engagement ring, sitting very easily alongside a wedding band. Perfect for the vintage girl or antique jewellery lover in your life!
Payment in 3 days, please. Lay-by possible if you ask first. Boxes are photo props only. Check my other listings and add me as a favourite - I’ll be listing more deco jewellery from my many years of collecting!
