This auction is for original Mk 1A flying helmet which is complete with a G Type cloth helmet and Type H oxygen mask.

All the equipment is in excellent condition, The inside of the bone done is in excellent condition - it almost looks like it is unused. The outside has a few chips as is to be expected.

I can't confirm if the helmet was used by the RNZAF however they did used exactly this equipment on Vampires and the Canberra,

There is currently one for sale on ebay for over $3,000

This is the first helmet issued in the RNZAF and RAF with a retractable visor and was used in many aircraft in the two airforces including the Vampire, Canberra, English Electric Lightning and the V Bombers

The person I bought it from was an RAF test pilot and he told me that he got it when he was on a Test Pilot's course at Farnborough in the UK.

I will throw in a couple of 75 Squadron badges from the 1960s (see pic)

All the equipment is in excellent condition.

I had a quality cover made for the on the dark visor to protect it

Equipment like this is very hard to find in this condition and is very collectable these days.
